Check Balance on New Flex Plate?
Another while I'm at it.
Replacing the flex plate while replacing the TH400 with A 2004R. I know the 200 converter will bolt up but I've had noise issues with various starters. The last starter a PMGR chipped the edges on some of the teeth. Engine was balanced with current flex plate. Took that flex plate to shop that balanced the engine originally and they did not have to re-balance it. This is an internally balanced 383.
Will I be that lucky on the next one?

Last one was a Pioneer, looking at a SFI Scat at Summit for $55 and a SFI Hughes and SFI Hays at $80 or so. I don't need the SFI rating but thinking the quality would be better on these, especially the ring gear.
I should add, only have about 3500 miles on the car since the rebuild 7 years ago!! Everything was new then
