I'm installing the 7/8" Wilwood M/C with attached push rodl, due to tight quarters it's very hard if not impossible to screw the push rod after mounting the M/C, I tried to remove the mounting bracket from the pedal assembly but the small rod that holds it only comes out one way and it's hitting a plate on the side of it. Any suggestions, thanks, Tony.

Have you tried calling Wilwood? They have a tech line.
Yes I spoke with Wilwood's tech dept, the master cylinder has a fixed push rod, it can be taken off but if not properly reinstalled you can end up with a leaking m/c. My problem is taking off the push rod mounting bracket to brake pedal, if I do that I'll thread it out side I just can't take off the pin that holds the bracket on, thanks for your suggestion.

Hey Carretera,
I curious how your doing with your new Willwood master cylinder. I've been considering going to the Willwood 7/8" bore M/C like you did to improve peddle effort on my 64 (it has manual disk brakes off of a 74 with a 1' bore Dual Reservoir M/C).
The fact that the Willwood has that attached pushrod has me wondering if things finally went together without a big hassle.
Also have you noticed any improvement in peddle effort?

The brake pedal feel turned out good, I ended up having to take the pedal assembly off which was a good thing as it needed work, replaced the adjustable push rod and grommets, connecting rod was previously installed wrong and that was the reason I couldn't remove it. Hope this helps, take care, Tony.

Yes it does! I think I may go ahead and pull the trigger after all.
Thanks Tony!
