It's not in the radiator, probably the heads, it' just radiates the sound to the rad through the water....
gut the t-stat, and see if it stops...need the restrictor plate in position..but gut the thing....temps in the engine are too high...
bet that cures it...need put another stat in come winter though...
Raising the pressure on any liquid will also raise the boiling point. If your coolant system has a leak or a bad radiator cap you may be losing the pressure, allowing boiling to occur. I will echo what someone else said, the boiling is not occuring in the radiator, probably just being heard from there, as sound travels through the thin material much easier than through the cast iron block, etc. A simple pressure test of the coolant system may help solve the problem.
