I'll be going to Carlisle this year for the first time. i have a few questions for anyone who has been there. Is there a good time to get there, or is trafic always bad? Just how big is it? Will I find any part I'm looking for? Are the prices good or do they rape you? Whats the best day to go? How hard is parking? I'm not bringing the Vette. Thanks all. :seeya
Plan on doing alot of walking its big.Usually youll find almost anything your looking for in one way shape or form.Youll love it its like heaven to me. :D and for parking i usually park on someones lawn for 10 bucks and walk right in about a block.Last year i parked for $8 and the guy gave me free passes to get in. :yesnod: and make an offer on the price of the part they usually drop down, but not too much.

Re: Carlisle question (TonyQT)
Last year was my first year attending and I wondered the same things. My vette was up on jack stands and I had to take the daily driver.
I was wondering the whole time where I would park. No problem what-so-ever. As was mentioned earlier, plenty of parking on people's yards. I think the money they make from this one event pays their mortgages for the year.
How big is it. BIG. Wear confortable shoes.
Traffic... I think Saturday morning is the worst, other mornings are bad. Do NOT drink lots of coffee in the morning before you drive to Carlisle (unless you have a really big bladder). Afternoons are a piece of cake.
Have fun and see ya there.
Now I gotta get back in the garage and finish putting my differential and trailing arms back on so I can take the 73 this year.
