I've been doing some work around the engine (thanks for the support from you all) and now it's time to get to the motor mounts.
If I gas my C3 too much, the fan hits the shroud. After inspecting, I think the mounts are original. I don't have a cherry picker and I'm trying to decide how I'm going to support the engine safely. Some videos show people putting wood under the oil pan and lifting the engine about an inch but I'm really nervous about doing something like that. Anyone have a recommendation?
Thanks very much for the advice! Worked perfectly. The only issue that I had was when I installed the new one. I put the long bold through first before bolting the three in the block first and the holes wouldn't line up. It took me about an hour and 2000 swear words before I figured out the correct order. Live and learn I guess. Thanks very much for the help.
I'm trying to find out the truth on how much work it is to replace the oil pan in my 08 Corvette. I've seen more people have jacked up the engine a little bit too get the screws loose and oil pan out. Without removing the entire front suspension and cross arm support. Can anybody tell me the correct and most cost-effective way to do this project?
