Removed and weighed heater
For you on a diet. I weighed with my digital scale, which is pretty close. Without the water, including the hoses, lost about 35-40lbs. Alot more room in engine compartment, and under dash.

Re: Removed and weighed heater (Blues77)
Is this just a heater and no air? I used this space for my electronics. 4 msd system components, a coil, a remote starter solenoid and a whole bank of relays. I remove my passenger panel and everything is right there.

The condensor was on there, which is around 5lbs.
I had the same planes on putting MSD and other goodies in the unused area. Theres now nothing under my dash :D . Heater sure takes up ALOT of space..

Just don;t get caught out on a cool evening without it. Not being able to see through a fogged windsheild can be fun but still dangerous. Only reason I kept mine.

Re: Removed and weighed heater (Blues77)
NEW: I just weighed stock Iron intake manifold. 41 lbs!!!
Compared to performer's 14lbs.
Iron water pump and fan = 19lbs
Iron caliper = 10lbs
I have more stuff to weigh, Ill post updates here
Edit: Fevre- That was my hesitation. It didnt work anyway. Ill just crack the windows if it fogs, or tell the passenger to blow on the windshield.

Have any pics? Wondering how big of a job this is. Any write-up for Corvettefaq? ;)
Anyway, sounds cool. Something I am considering.

Steel Rallye wheels w/derby caps and trim rings = 51 lb. each.
