78 Won't Start
I was letting my 78 run and idle showing someone. I let it idle for about a half hour and shut it off. I went to restart it after about 20 minute and now it won't start. It made a noise like the starter was shot once and now it does nothing. I have lights and the connection to the battery is good. Any suggestions?? Did it over heat....is the starter bad.....or connections bad to the starter??? Has anyone experienced this?

OK.....Went to try starting the vette today after setting for 24 hours and now I just hear the starter make a spinning noise without the motor turning. My thoughts is the solenoid. Any thoughts??? If it is the solenoid can this be swapped instead of replacing the hole starter assembly?

Its possible to only replace the solenoid, but for about $20-30 more you could get the whole starter. Which IMHO is a lot less work, since youd only take out 2 bolts (and the wires), replace and be done with it.
