Default Steeroids: My Turn Today!!

I finally got me a day off to do this little project.

I've got a squeak in the rear-end to check out also.

I can't wait to get this done!

Have a nice day.

Squeek in rear is usually sway bar bushings...mine are urethane, and I have to keep greasing them on account of all the rain we been having here in N Florida...

Thanks Gene, unfortunately this is a rotational type squeak, it's most of the time, straight line, and not very loud. I will be re-checking the brakes and u-joints first. I already removed the emergency brakes.

So far the Steeroids kit installation is going fine but they sent an incorrect high-pressure hose so it's on hold until that is resolved.

They REALLY need to do some sort of quality control! YOu may have seen my post about their quality problems.

But the kit is awesome! I just returned from a long drive up the California coast to the Monterey Historics. The car is an incredible joy to drive now. Adding the new Momo steering wheel made a huge difference as well.

All I need are modern seats and A/C and I'll no longer envy C5s or M-roadsters.

Wade: The only visible numbers I see are arranged like this:

"8 3 062" and then there is a very large 'B' on the steering shaft boss.

I hope this helps, I don't recall seeing any other numbers before installing it.

I understand that these racks are the same used in many mid-eighties and early nineties GM vehicles.

By the way - The steering is vastly improved over the stock set up

Did you fab your own brackets for the rack? And do you mean that the tie rods are from a lumina or the steering shaft and u-joint or both. How is the lock to lock compared to the original box. Thanks
