How tight is Front Shock Nut??

How tight is Front Shock Nut??
I put on new front shocks and was wondering how tight do you make the top mount nut. Could not see in the directions how tight to make it. :confused:

:confused: I don't know for sure, but I was once told to tighten till rubber bushing was flush with edge of washer. I then put old nut on top of new to lock it.

I usually tighten them enough so that the rubber bushings are in full contact with the washers and are just starting to expand slightly. You don't want to overtighten them and have teh rubber bulging out.

I got thr Delco Reactek. I need the smooth ride that these shocks offer I am getting tired of getting banged up with the old performance shocks that were on there before. :yesnod:
