Do C3's run hot?
A very informative piece that shows detailed diagrams of how these cars were put together.
If it's communications software, it's AOL Instant Messenger. :)

Ok, here's the stoopid newbie question of the century: AIM stands for what? "Autmotive Instruction Manual", " Another Idiot Mechanic" (me), " or "Ask Isosceles' Mother"?

Assembly Instruction Manual. These are copies of the original documentation that was used during the assembly process. Check EBay for your year . . .

I think I'm going to have to first determin if it is really running hot. Since it didn't smell or seem to be pinging badly, I either thought that they just run like that or that it really wasn't running that warm.
Now i'm wondering if I might have electrical problems that might be giving me bad readouts. It seems as though every time I first start driving the car the volts go below 12, and the temp goes to the red within 1/2 mile. Cutting off the A/C and slowing the engine to idle makes the temp guage fall to like 180, then the volts jump back up to about 13.5 . Anyone else have similar problems?
Since the car is still somewhat unknown to me I will service the cooling system anyway and maybe have the radiator rodded. Seems like many of you like Wetter Water. I think I might try some. Freezing here in SW Florida is hardly ever a concern.
Even with the quirks, I am stoked about this car. I'm getting used to way it drives and love the exhaust note. Oh yeah, the sound of secondaries opening is pretty cool too. Bet a few premature visits to the gas pump will cure that though. BAH maybe not! I'll get some pics up soon. Every night after work I like to tinker with it. Last night was the T-stat, tonight I took out the power lock actuator that was seized so that I could at least use my door lock. Tomorrow's project will be checking out why the dash lights don't work after I took out the lock solenoid. Hope it is just a fuse.
