Hi,
My thought is they're too big for the seat mount bolts… how about the nuts for the seat BELT mount bolts?
On second look they may not be THAT big, so maybe seat mount is right.
Regards,
Alan

I replaced the pans in my 78 and the nuts for the seat belts are about that size. Mine were welded to a reinforcement plate. I alsos got a 2nd set of plates and nuts. I think the manufacturers give us some extra stuff so we can cover any installation scenario. The seat belt nuts were bigger than the seat mounting nuts.

those nuts are to be welded on the outside of the floor pan for mounting the bar for the seatbelt retractors. I thing that bar is a guide so the belts retract straight. you also will need to drill a hole for one of them.

No those are not for the guide bar as the guide bar bolts are a 3/8 thread. Those nuts as has been said are for the seat belts but since the floor pans come from overseas, those nuts have a metric thread. You will also find that the plate / nut already attached along the tunnel is a metric thread and you will need to re-tap to use the stock anchor bolts. You will not need those loose nuts you are asking about unless you want to tap those out also. The door side anchor point will require drilling a 1/2" hole and using a 1/2" bolt / nut. I just went thru this putting new floor pans in my '76.
