Default 454 install

I have a couple of questions that i thought you guys could help me with. First have a 76 Vette that had a 383 stroker engine total gone. I want to install a 454 into the car. I just changed all the front end parts.
1.Will the engine fit into the car?
2.Will it bolt up to my 350 Trans?
3.Can i use the starter fuel pump and dist fom the old engine?

Thanks

Yes, the 454" will fit but it'll need some exhaust work to join the manifolds to your existing pipes. And it will bolt to your TH350 although the TH350 won't handle the amount torque a 454" can put out without modifications. The distributor is the same for small blocks and big blocks and I believe the fuel pump is the same. The starter might and might not fit as they are bolt pattern specific.

Fuel pump is not the same.

Water pump, pulleys, and brackets for alternator and power steering pump etc are different than other GM cars and are specific to the corvette. I have read of people finding setups other than corvette parts that will fit.

Good luck. I put a 468 into my 76 and love it.

One example would be my 77. No Corvette only, brackets or pulleys. Works well. You should be able to use your stock hood also. Good luck, lots of fun.
