I have the entire steering and suspension off of my 1977. I bought the Corvette restoration guide just as a reference. In the guide they mention the color of the upper and lower control arms as semi-gloss to gloss black. I am not powder coating them so I need suggestions on the best way to paint them and should I go semi-gloss or gloss? Rattle can or POR15 brush on? I am leaning towards the POR 15 frame black brush on paint. Its thick and self leveling and rust prohibiting. Also.. what about the pivot bars that attach to them? The guide states they are "natural" finished. If I leave them natural they will be rusty really quickly. I was thinking I could spray paint them with cast blast.

Hey Jgcable, I just got done with a refresh of my front suspension. I used POR 15 for all of my pieces, even the pivot bars. Here is the passenger side finished product. I don't have a good pic of the pivot bars but that's the general look of the POR 15 gloss black.
