Default suffix XCD ????

I was wanting yo rebuild a engine myself, i found this engine because it was complete. The block, heads, and flywheel are 1972. the internals and intake all match 1970 numbers? Manifolds are also 1970. I know i donr have the "holy grail" but i would like to know what I have and what HP rating? It is going back stock, everything I took out is going back in, i may have lost 2 pistons but i dont know yet?
heads are 492s
cam is 2182
crank 1182
pistons 3959456
010 block, 4 bolt, wintage tray.
V0B1OVCB on pad no vin anywhere

the rods have a O on them, as far as the crank the rotating assembly is still in engine.
I done a search not much on this engine with the XCD suffix

I believe XCD is a GM crate engine suffix.

Might want to check the number again. The first B should be a numeric character, possibly an 8, since it's part of the engine assembly date.

With all that smog stuff on there, this engine is going to be of a 1977-1979 vintage. The HEI didn't appear until 1975.
Still it doesn't matter. Strip it all down and throw most of that junk away. Use the block crank and rods, and find a good piston, rings, bearings, and gasket kit. Consider a roller cam, and some better quality aluminum heads.....whatever you do don't buy the cheapest stuff you can find, you really get whay you pay for today.

2182 cam is LT1 solid lifter
1182 crank is LT1 forged
If the pistons are flat top, it's 1971 or 1972, pop up pistons 1970

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input, I was questioning it because of the 72 block and 70 parts.

I have been looking at some of that "smog stuff" I defiantly will not be throwing it away.
Thanks again
