Default Plug wire routing' possibilities?

I need new plug wires and would like to "clean up" the engine compartment. Is there a way to route the wires from the distributor down the back of the cyclinder heads and under hooker headers on a 454?

HEI distributor.

Thanks

As the spark plugs on a 454" are angled slightly upward you would need 90 degree terminals and although possible to do I would think it would be awfully hard to plug or unplug them with your hands. I think the problems it would create would far outweigh the appearance gain.

Thanks toobroke. Didn't know if someone here had already tackled that idea or not. Without a bunch of repliesim going to assume for the reasons you stated I should leave well enough alone.

Thanks again.

If you search the forum you will find it can be done. I believe it is forum member IronCross (or something like that).

The problem is keeping the forward wires away from the headers and close to the block as they are routed towards the rear.
None of the posts reveal how that is done.

I'm currently working on the same. I will use the Taylor Fire Sleeve to in combination with wire separators in an attempt to route them away from the headers.
