Default Dash "GEN" light

Where is that bulb located? Is it in between the tach and speedo, or with the gages above the center console? I'm thinking right above the voltage gage would make sense, but thought I'd ask first.

In my '79 it's the lower right light in the gauge pack. It should come on with the key in the "run" position but engine not started.

My '79 also has a gen. light.....already had that part of the dash apart as well as the left side....fixed the clock at the same time. U hafta take out the radio & center console as well to be able to drop out that panel.....A good time to check out ALL the bulbs in those areas.

Trying to learn. Does it actually say "Gen" on the light lens?

Ok, I see it now. It says on the upper left of the center dash. I wasn't aware that it had one, or that if it did it would be called gen instead of alt.
