Fix one create two problems
79... Had the console apart changing the a/c heater control. Fixed that. Now only blows from bottom. Was working before. Also center gauge cluster lights don't work as well as the temp gauge and the amp meter. Gas gauge and oil pressure work. Brown wire to heater lost power I ran a new circuit. Does that brown wire power center gauge cluster as well. My wiring diagram is not available right now.

The vacuum select switch is probably leaking on the new heater control, it's a common problem that you can solve by taking it apart and applying dielectric grease between the two halves, then re-assemble. Check out this thread

Your gauge/light issue is probably caused by one of more of the fingers on the printed circuit touching another. It's common for the fingers to come loose from the flexible pcb and touch... I'd pull the cluster and check it.
