82 vette. Anyone ever relocated the fuse block to a more accessible location, even it is just behind the kick plate for example. It is impossible to get to and see what you are doing.
You would need a donor harness to supply the correct color extension wires......or at least make a list of wire sizes/colors and buy them from an auto salvageyard.

That would be a task Larry, not to mention the time.
I had to have my blower motor replaced this week and there was a power issue coming from the fuse block. The mechanic had to take the driver's seat out so he could lay down on the floor to get at the fuse block. It would have been so easy to put the fuse block in a small door access on the transmission tunnel.
Forty years after the fact, does it matter? After all, we all bought one or more of these cars.
And pretty much every other American car made at the time had the fuse box in the same place up under the dash. I remember plenty of times lying under the dash of '69-'70 Mustangs I had and changing fuses. Little tighter in a C3 but still same hassle. Guess for some though, a C3 is their first "old car" so they may not know other cars were like that.
To help with this, I bought adaptors that allow the use of modern ATO blade style fuses (GOOGLE Converta-Fuse if interested). Much easier to remove/change. I also converted to the indicator style fuse that glows if it blows, to minimize the time hunting around under there.
Alternately, Littelfuse offers glass indicator fuses that also glow when they blow.

Reason: addition
It's so much easier to take the seat out to gain access to the fuse box. It's easy to pull the drivers seat. It's unfortunate but almost a necessity on my '81. As mentioned previously the fuses can be upgraded to the lighted type while you are in there.
I thought that I wanted an accessory fuse box. I just don't want it in the battery box. There is no room that I can find elsewhere.
