Default Not the direction i would go.....

I have a RamJet 350 that came with a MEFI-3 which I got about 12 years ago. Since the MEFI was a pain to try and play with, I converted it to run on a ~92 GM-730 ECM. It was fun to learn and play with burning chips, but with the options available now I would not do it.

About 2 years ago I replaced the 730 ECM with the EZ EFI 2.0 controller for TPI. It has been wonderful and it is self-learning. Not that I drive the thing a log, but it's the best it's been.

I already had an MSD 6 and MSD distributor (from the engine before the RamJet) so i did not have to buy that to support using the EZ-EFI 2.0.

You may wish to take a look at that option.

DO I buy one set up for an auto trans ( I am putting a 200R4 behind this motor). Most of what I found need a core deposit, and since I have no core do I just go to ebay? Then the prom. This will be an almost stock 350. Little higher comp ration. So I am thinking to get a stock used prom for the '86 then have a local shop burn my specific info ( the 200R4 for example) into it. Thanks in advance for your feedback and steering me in the right direction. This old dog is having trouble learning new tricks.

Also you can keep the TPI and upgrade the electronics and wiring to run a LS1 PCM. The beauty of this is you get rid of the distributor and add coil packs (one coil per cylinder).

I did this but eventually changed the TPI to a single plane intake and elbow once I went over 400hp.

Wow Kens80V that is really beautiful! The last time I had the chance I put a reluctor wheel and pickup on the car. Small steps.
