I had issues with an rpm airgap sealing up, but there wasn't any oil leak just a vaccum leak and out of whack o2 reading's at idle. Chased and chased, gaskets new gaskets, new gaskets with sealer, so on and so forth. I finally decided to go single plane ( weiand team g) and it sealed up fine with out any issues. I like edelbrock products but after that intake I think I'll stay away from them. Mine was probably a fluke.
Lots of great points guys....I appreciate the feedback. The builder had the car, engine, intake, and heads all there when the intake was machined. I was there and helped when everything was checked on the intake and the heads. So I know for a fact that its not the intake and or heads.
Come to think about it they used the same PCV that was on the previous engine. This is the same one that I bought a few months earlier from advanced auto parts. It is not an AC/OEM PCV there is a very good chance that this PCV is either malfunctioning or is not the correct one. I am going to go to a GM dealer today to get it checked out.
Although it rattles and has suction when pulled it could be too small or restricted.
