Put some rubber flaps in that shroud, even better (the "fan man" sells em among others). I had an issue with it wanting to warm up a little on the hwy, installing a handful of them problem gone;however my fan runs a lot as I have a fan switch that doesnt shut off til 165 (the only other switch to fit what I have doesnt come on til 200 so I deal with it coming on at 185) If the fan was on air was piling up in the shroud. With a BBC Id absolutely shroud the fan

Take a SoCal So Fl Nv hot 100-110 degree day, Air conditioning running, stuck in traffic doing 5-15mph off and on... even the mildest will have issues unless the system is top grade, and this includes a shroud ... not a single OEM car does not have a shroud.. except a Tesla :-)
Not everyone has these conditions, and I understand that.. but for the price of a cookie sheet?!?!?!?!!?!? why would you not??

My boys made mine, and it made a HUGE difference in in-town driving and track use.

I was trying to figure something out and was thinking about it while getting lunch ready for the kids when I saw one of the oven pans in the kitchen. I took some measurements and looked online and that one fits perfectly. I'm quite proud of it!

Default Dual 11" fans with DeWitt's mount

...tucked between the radiator and a spreader bar (and below a radiator mount modified for a C5-based plenum).

I agree with the opinion about not using the push through nylon connectors to hold the electric fan in place. I installed a puller fan on my 1980 L82 and is was lose and ugly.

Ordered a DeWitt aluminum double fan deal and getting rid of the shroud and belt driven fan.

good luck

toobroke...I hear they offer an ointment for that issue you have....

The zip ties through radiators have to be one of the biggest all time 1/2 *** hack job things to actually be used by some cats who should know better....
