Rear Spring...removal?

Rear Spring...removal?
In order to remove the rear spring, do you have to cut the exhaust pipe and remove the back section of the exhaust? OR can you remove the rear tires and come out the side with it? Mine is currently FLAT and I'm getting a 330# composite spring from Vette Brakes and Parts....CAN'T WAIT!!
Hoping there's a better way than removing the exhaust.....
