Default Rear Spring...removal?

In order to remove the rear spring, do you have to cut the exhaust pipe and remove the back section of the exhaust? OR can you remove the rear tires and come out the side with it? Mine is currently FLAT and I'm getting a 330# composite spring from Vette Brakes and Parts....CAN'T WAIT!! Hoping there's a better way than removing the exhaust.....

Remove a wheel and pull it out the side.

When I did my spring, I still had my standard exhaust (before I went to side pipes). What I did was to just lower the exhaust enough to get the spring out. Did not cut it off and neither did I remove the rear tires..

When i did my 79 with dual pipes all i had to do was lower the rear and middle fixings of the pipes which gives just enough room to get the spring out
