Default Window trouble

My windows (both sides) in my 77 only roll half way up. They go and the just stop. I can roll them back down, just not all the way up. And both window actuators are new. Any advice?

When you replace those actuators, I ASSume you looked at them and saw a coil spring that looks like a electric stove calrod....flat and with a lip on the inside that graps a slot on a ~1/2 inch shaft, the outer edge has a tab that catches a support....

the spring helps bring the windows up.....without it, the motor is typically only 1/2 way up......

These springs are black and faced to the outside of the door.....

they tend to rust/break on the inside tab over the shaft....

damnit.....

You said the actuators are new, I'll assume you mean the regulators? But what about the motor drive gears, what condition are they in? Seems odd both would do the same thing.

Other possible issues:
Power window motor.
Linkage jamming.
Roller issue

I just replaced mine and the new regulators had a bolt you are supposed to remove after you install the motor. Just a thought.
