Default My 69' Stripped!

A few pics of my 69' stripped down to bare fiberglass. I snapped the picture today, After the pic I took the doors off and stripped the jams. Still working on getting the red oxide off!. The car is super clean, was hit in drivers side. I will be grinding it out and fixing that. Also fixing the rivets in the front clip and window frame and t-top bulge on top of sail panel.

Well she needs some rough bodywork. Once that is done. I will sand it level clean her very well. Then a coating of slick sand or featherfil g2 (not sure yet). Then block, prime, block prime, sealer, base coat, euro clear. Daytona yellow

Looks like you've made a good start on the frame-off...

What drivetrain did it come with and what are your plans for it?

Good luck... GUSTO

It had a 350/300 hp. Machine shop just finished the 383 solid roller cam (mild) alum heads. Turbo 400 trans. Gotta pick it up soon. Dynoed at 475 hp 3:36 rear gears.

Frame off. New frame. Everything new

Hi d,
Nice to see those body panels and seams in such good condition!
Man, that red oxide is REALLY difficult to get off!
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

Thank you sir, Yes it is a serious pain in the rear to get off! Plenty of scrubbing in my future.

What did you use to strip it with? This may be my winter project.
Thanks.
