I just installed the Transgo shift reprogramming kit !!
I just installed the kit. I called the folks at Transgo and got right to their tech person. I told him I did not want "hard" shifts just firm positive shifts out of my old "72" Turbo 400. I wanted to get rid of that 2-3 slushy feel. He suggested some hole diameters that he felt would work best with the Vette independent rear wheel suspension. It varied slightly from the installation instructions. Long story short, I got exactly what I wanted. Quick, positive shifts with no bang. I also replaced the trany mount and exhaust hanger while I was there. It all went like clock work. I even had the expected" you spend to much time messing with that car!!" fight with my wife. Heck, she knows how to score a nice dinner out! I even figure that into the project budgets now... ;)
