Ok, what's the trick to route the hard fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb? I've tried from the top and from underneath to no avail. Obviously I will need to move other "stuff" out of the way. Anyone have experience changing the fuel line on these C3s?

Yep, you have to move other "stuff".............................

I knew it! Well, I took advantage of the situation and removed my AIR Pump since it had to be removed anyway. Still need to plug some hoses and cap the check valve.
There just aren't any good short cuts to working on a C3 but in the end it is well worth it!

Compared to cars made in the last 20 years, they're a joy to work on.

How is your car equipped? AC? AIR?
I removed mine without pulling any of the water-pump mounted brackets, although I did have the AIR pump itself off and I believe I loosened the compressor and the support brace from the intake manifold to the main AC bracket.
Installing, haven't tried but if I could get it out without damage theoretically I could put it on the same.
It would be much easier w/ the main AC bracket or the AIR bracket removed.

I changed my line out a year ago, and it was a challenge to get it right. I don't remember what all I had to move out of the way, but it goes in with some wiggling. Not much help, but I feel your pain. Good luck!

Yes, I removed the AIR Pump and bracket and loosened the AC. Everything went pretty smooth after that. I have been thinking about removing the AIR Pump anyway since it doesn't work but I wanted to make sure the engine management system didn't require it for feedback. Since it wasn't working it seemed safe to remove it.
