Default Replacement frame/suspension question...C4 vs Ride Tech

Hypothetically, if you were to go with a stock style, but aftermarket frame (i.e. not the SRIII type), would you get better performance out of the C4 suspension with coil overs, or going with the factory suspension mounting points, and running the Ride Tech STG 2 suspension set up....for a street car?

Given the cost of the frame is the same either way, rough math looks like new C4 suspension parts vs Ride Tech parts comes out about the same.

So at that point, it comes down to performance. Any thoughts, especially from those running either set up?

i had 2 c4's I never like the way it handled,85 in 89 and an 89 in 2007 nor do i like the way my c3 handles, ( twitchy in the rear) and it's got relatively newesh, stock suspension, the Vete looks cool tho

my Saturn station wagon inspires confidence, and i toss that sucker around and actually drive it like a motorcycle...go figure, maybe something to do with the 2300 curb weight

You have to ask yourself, would you really just stop at coil-overs on a C4 suspension? That means all the stock bushing, arms, sway bars, etc...

If that is the case, I'll put my Ridetech equipped C3 suspension up against a stock C4 suspension with coil-overs just about any day of the week.

Edit - you did say "street car" so I would say neither option is really money well spent. But I guess that depends on what you plan to do with your street car. I think you've seen posts about how I drive mine. I'll post up some video of my little C3 beating up on some much more capable cars on track in a week.

Yea, should have been more specific...mostly street driven car....as in not a dedicated track toy like the 24 hour Corvette, etc.

Im really only looking at it from the standpoint of if you had a car that was going to require a new frame anyway, would you get a better performing product in the end going with a frame with mounting points for the stock C4 suspension with upgraded coil-overs/bushings/sway bars or the factory C3 type suspension mounting points and using the Ride Tech set up that you are running. Cost wise, I think it comes out about even assuming you start with the same aftermarket frame.
