1972 Windshield Wiper Motor Wiring
My 72 Vette came with a 1966 wiper motor (delco #4915858) that has slightly different connections. The motor does not have the red wire coming from the side of the body where the 12v red/white wire should connect to. It has a 3-prong connector in front, similar to the 72, however it has an additional connector just above it.
Does anyone have a simple way I can connect this motor to my harness and have it work properly?
I will post a picture of the wiper motor later tonight.
Thank you!

Sure you COULD-
Why don't you sell it to a 66 Impala owner and buy a brand new one for a little over a C note from Willcox- no core charge!!!

If you still have a functional wiper door...then honestly...get the correct wiper motor.
Will wait to see the photo of the motor you have when you post the photo.

Ok, I figured it out. Using a wiring diagram for a 1966 and a 1972, and after watching Willcox's great video on how to bench test the wiper motor, I figured the following:
center tab - 12v in
left tab grounded only - park
right tab grounded only - fast
both outer tabs grounded - slow
I have placed the motor on an online auction site and will buy an original motor .
Here's a picture below. Thanks.

SMART MOVE in several areas. Performing the test to understand the wiper motor operation..and getting the correct motor to make you life a bit easier.
