I just finished some adjustment in ride height on my '68 and after lowering the rear, the wheels are now slightly tilted towards the inside (top of tires towards the inside)
On a factory aligned car, are the wheels straight or are they tilted towards the inside or outside?
From the factory they came with slightly negative rear camber(top of tire tilted inboard).
Thanks.. thats interesting as I don't know how the tires woukd not wear more on the inside with that alignment unless of course the car would actuall lift up a little while driving as of course, the tires will tilt even more towards the inside under compression. I'm not a engineer, so I don't understand enough about the dynamics of a car when driving.

Remember the tires are supposed to be rotated every 5000 miles so any inside edge wear during the first 5000 miles would get offset by outside edge wear the next 5000 miles. I run mine straight up on all four corners to maximize tread life.
Hi,
Unless you REMOUNT the tires with the inner sidewall on the outside of the wheel, ROTATING tires has NO effect on the position of the tread relative to the car!

Alan

I got directional tires... they can only go on one way.. Furthermore, front and rear are different size.

I lowered mine all way around and set the camber a bit more aggressive then stock. I couldn't care less about getting a few extra miles out of my tires if it handles like it's on rails. I guess I didn't buy mine with thoughts of saving a few bucks. That's what my 92 lumina daily driver is for.
