trans problems
I have a 1980 vette with the TB350c trans ,and after the car would warm up, the trans would downshift on its own to second gear,,if I move the shifter up to neutral and then back to drive it would be back in hi gear again.Also it has another problem (cold or hot) on take off from a stop it fwill shift into 3rd gear and lock-up @ 25-30 mph even with the elec-vac switch on the firewall unplugged! So I decided to have the trans overhauled, with a new governer and tcc switch, everything was fine for a few weeks then the same 2 problems came back. So I dropped the pan to inspect and found a lot of small metal particles in the pan,(I was told this may be normal if the trans was reassembled a little tight), what do you think is going on? And is it normal for the metal in the pan after an overhaul? :confused:
