(WENDS) What a beautiful evening in nothern Illinois..think I'll go for a spin. AWWWWW...trans fluid all over the garage floor :mad :mad
Looks like the speed-o cable trans seal is shot. How does this come out so I can change the O ring? In my AIM manual, I noticed two screw clamps holding the unit in. Is that all there is to it??? Also, is this seal (AUTO TRANS) available from local parts stores?
Thank You Guys
Eddie
Just remove the clamp and pull out the gear adaptor. Some fluid will come out.
There are 2 seals. An o-ring that goes around the outside of the adaptor and a small lip seal that goes on the inside of the adaptor against the speedo gear. Not sure if the parts house has them but they are inexpensive at a GM dealer.
