Default Clutch linkage...Please help ASAP!!!!!

I'm trying to install a clutch in a 69 vette I recently acquired. The guy I got the car from provided nothing. The only thing the car had was the rod connected to the cluth pedal. There's a big gap between this rod and the clutch fork, and I assume I need some sort of clutch linkage. I called a place that said they had the complete linkage to a 75 vette. My questions are: is this what I need to get the car running, and would the linkage from a 75 fit in a 69? Please let me know asap as someone else is trying to buy it and he's holding onto it for me. Thanks guys!!!!

I believe your 69 is the same as the mid years, so with that in mind, the rod from the clutch pedal attaches to the bell crank via an adjustment fitting (bell crank is mounted on/between the ball stud of the engine and the bracket on the frame rai and is a tube with a bracket arm on either endl) which in tun connects to the clutch fork via the clutch fork rod. Not absolutely sure, but I would assume the 75 is also the same setup.

An assembly manual would tell you if all the parts were the same.

My '75 linkage is just as Denney described.

Another good sourece of info is this microfiche online http://www.curveo.net/corvette/

but it a very large PDF file.

Do you have the z-bar? It is a somewhat shining looking log with two little bars levers on opposite ends? Hate to see buy a bunch of stuff in a linkage set that you already got. Also look some of the vette parts catalogs they have some, can't stress some enough, diagrams that can be helpfull.

zip has some good diagrams on their website (see restoration store). You might even get a clue as to which years are interchangeable by how they group em. MJ

Here's pics to help you out to see what you'll need:

In the above pics you'll see the Z bar. Pics of the clutch fork I'm using, that is Lakewood HD clutch fork and I had to make some modifications to accomodate the rod coming from the zbar. You'll also need that rod coming from pedal to zbar. Hope this helps, for further questions, just ask!
