I have an early 79 coupe. I understand the washer pump is held on to the bottom of the jar by a nut inside the jar.
Anyone know that size socket will remove this nut????
Thanks Mike

Check out a post in "C3 Vette Registry" forum posted by Jim from Oregon, His post "Washer pump replacement 75-79 C3 how to do... " has it all.
Hope this helps.

I think it is either a 7/8" or 1" deep socket. It's been awhile.

Mike, It's a 7/8"deep socket that goes over the filter-nut inside the washer jar...
I put a pretty detailed"how I did
it".. on a month or so back..on the C3VR forums..
Not simple to do with out completely removing the bottle, but can be done..
Make sure the new pump works before installing..and note which of the 2 terminals gets the hot lead on the new pump..Jim
