Pretty quick video. You will like the drag radials...you will be getting a MUCH better launch, so make use of it. 11's....I don't know, but probably .1 or even .2 seconds.

I'm actually expecting at least .3 better ET. My tires are just spinning way too much...

I'm actually going to put the Drag Radials on separate rims. I'm only going to put them on the car at the track... I will also upgrade the U-joints on the half shafts - maybe even this weekend...

Maybe you can add a hitch so you can use one of the hitch mounted racks to carry your tires and other track equipment. Damn we need a trunk!

I saw a old roadster that had a small trailer the had made to resemble their car, that would be cool to have a small trailer that looked like your vette to tow your track stuff.

I will put the tires into my other car which I have my girlfriend drive to the track and put the tires on there.. There's also a second reason to be there with 2 cars.. If something breaks - I can tow the Vette to my mechanic..

Olivier,

Yeah, but you're not married --- YET !!

Good luck with the new tires - maybe some half shaft loops are in order ?

I like that "car" trailer idea. Maybe I'll use the left-over rear clip from my
'75 to make one. That would be so SWEEEEET !! :yesnod: :yesnod:

:seeya

Wish I had a pic Dave, it was pretty neat idea. I think the car was a 32 Ford but I am not sure. I saw it at the Woodward Dream Cruise along with another 100,000 cars. :)

GS, what were your sixty foot times?

i dont think you will break anything. I run 1.7s in the sixty foot mark and i have yet to have a problem with my halfshafts.

My best 60 foot time was 1.834... I should be able to get consistant 1.60's with Drag Radials considering the power of my engine... I don't think that it's a bad idea to replace the halfshaft U-joints anyway... They are 34 years old...
