Anyone have a recommendation on LED bulbs for the dash,it seems there could be more options now with higher quality. Any good source? Any one try a different color than clear? I have my tach and speedo out to be fixed so now is the time.

I experimented with different bulbs until I settled on the Xenon White T10 Wedge 10-SMD LED Light bulbs. I purchased them on fleabay. The gauges emit a blue light when using the bulbs.

I am doing the same thing with my wiring harness replacement. Mooser had a good post a couple days ago where he replaced his lights with LED. I'm following his suggestions. RA
I have white face gauges overlays on the tach/speedo on my '72 aftermarket white face gauges in a custom center dash....have a green tinge to them....
Not long ago, I put LED bulbs off ebay on the big ones.....GREEN as hell, including turn signals, easy seen even with top down sunlight turn signals....top down at night, seen by satellites.....LOVE IT!!!!!!
It turned out sometime back I bought some LED bulbs. With the tach and speedometer out for repair I swapped them out 2 of them lit up the others were dead. Remembering that I read turning them 180 degrees would make them work, that in fact was the case.
Those little jewels shine bright definitely a vibrant white.I would say it was very worthwhile. Thanks for everyone's input .

I believe it was superbrightleds.com but couldn't swear to it I don't recall them being expensive. I'm told if they light they should last a long time. I know very little about them
Truly sorry I'm not more help,I forgot I even had the things.
It's a worthwhile mod though.

Reason: Found correct source.
Senility strikes again, I searched super brights Web site and found nothing like what I have.I suggest checking ebay as I see several that look like what I have.and the price is reasonable.
Ordinarily I remember things like this but I had to search to refresh my memory.I wasn't equipped with a refresh button
5630 leds are decently bright. I haven't made it to replacing my autometer gauge leds with newer brighter leds. I have no clue what ki d of leds i put in my gauges, they're from china though. Go with a specific color if you want the best coloring. A lot of the "white" leds tend to have a blue tint to them. Try to stay with the 5630 chip leds, those are the least blue (from my experience) at around 6k to 6500 temperature color. Which is what I have in the dome and rv mirror lights in pics below. The kick panels have the 3014 chip w/18 leds in them. Hopefully that'll help yall get to a more white instead of blue colored led. I bought all of these off of ebay, PM me if you'd like a seller name or link.
Here's my kick panel, dome light and rear view mirror lights.

After (3014 chip leds):

Here's comparisons between the 5630 (6 leds) and the 3014 (18 leds). The 3014 194 led is the obvious brighter. Which isn't always the case with the larger 1156/1157 light types when compared the the 5050 chip leds.
