Ok, getting ready to remove left and right dash panels and dash pad in my 1977 C3. Planning on dying the entire interior except for new door panels, dash pad, and seat covers. Looking for any tips or advice on the removal of the dash panels and dash pad, or any other trim pieces that may be a challenge. Not sure what is the best way to approach this project and are there any hidden gotcha's too watch for.

Easy Mike has good advice. Also- since everyone has a smartphone with a camera- take photos that show how the various pieces fit together before you take them apart. I have the dash on my 68 completely off to install the wiring harness and have little plastic bags and plastic containers with all of the screws labeled, plus photos of everything. Good luck on yours. RA
Have a box of small Zip-Loc bags there with a permanent ink Sharpie and some masking tape. Put screws/hardware removed at various locations in the Zip-Locs and label them as to EXACTLY where that stuff came from. If you just remove the nuts/bolts/screws/etc and throw it in a can, you will NEVER figure out where they should really go.
P.S. The masking tape is so you can tape the bags to the parts where they belong.

I have detailed instructions on how to remove the dash pads on our site.. However, I'd use this instruction sheet first.. for removing the left dash pad.
Why? Because it tells you how to remove the steering column and this is something we always do when we remove the dash pads. So my advice is to follow the instructions on the left pad first.. then go to the instructions on removing the right and upper.

Same as above but I put little pieces of paper INSIDE the baggies noting what was in them. Had too many times of tape falling off or Sharpies getting smudged. But as they say a picture is worth a thousand words.
