AC box interchange??
I have yet bitten the bullet on spending $170 on the AC delete cover for my 1977. I was thinking an alternate solution would be to take my existing AC box that I removed and cut it down and fiberglass it and make my own low profile cover to cover up my existing and still installed factory AC heater core. My question is.. is the large suitcase type box that came off my car the same as any other cars or is it Corvette only? I don't want to chop up the one I took off and would rather buy a cheap used one and experiment on that.

Hi jcb,
The Corvette cowl, engine compartment, and engine placement, is so UNLIKE any other Chevrolet car I can't imagine the housing being a natural fit for any other car.
