Would you put chromed or polished wheels on a chromed bumper car?
Does it matter?

Re: Wheels (yellow 72)
CHROME!!! I wanted chrome for mine but liked the American wheels so much that I settled for polished aluminum. It is a beeyotch to keep them shining like new.
Yellow72....you've got one of the coolest looking Vettes. That car is just simply FINE from every angle!!!

Re: Wheels (OHSIXX)
IF you drive the car alot, especially with any performance demands...(read HARD) you will most likely find the chrome peeling off the aluminum in a year's time....even IF they are warrentied...so what??? who is going to rebalance and reinstall your tires, and what you do untill the plant is finished rechroming them??? the failure rate of chrome over aluminum is very high....temp/flex are totally differant charactoristics....not worth the gamble .....maybe there is someone who can plate the things successfully, but I ain't heard of them.....seem some of the suposed best fail quite rapidly....
pays your money and takes your chances....
