76 windows rattle - what to do?
I have a 76 and both passenger and driver side windows rattle. Also, on the passenger side when I close the door the window hits the top edge of the T-top. Any thoughts on how to fix either or both of these problems. Thanks
I should have mentioned these are power windows.

Boy, are you in for some fun! The Haynes manual has a good diagram for window adjustment but it gives you no idea of the true work involved. The only way to get it right is by continued readjustment until they line up perfect. There are no tricks other than to loosen all adjustment bolts and close the door to try to get a baseline, then work from there.

You will probably need a Haynes manual If you've never been into the door before, but it doesn't sound like you need to do a full blown alignment. There are two vertical guides with stops. The stops just slide up or down within the guides. Adjust the stops down until the glass stops at the desired height when fully up. As for the glass rattle. There are two adjustable felt pads. Just loosen the bolt on each pad and push them in until they just make contact with the glass. You may want to replace the anti-rattle pads if they're worn. The manual will help a lot.
