Yep- looks familiar. Same color and everything. Warmer weather in AZ makes yours a little easier to start. I get some disapproving looks from other drivers when I start mine up and have to keep blipping the gas to keep it running.

Will the GM original aluminium intake match my 049 oval intake heads.
Since the aluminium intake has rectangular ports and have a larger area..
And also, can i still use my Qjet ?

Yeah, they were a one year only (69) thing for vettes. Currently it's on my 72 LS5 (well, there are a few pieces that are still LS5 and the head castings were the stock oval port ones.)

I've seen the 69 intakes on ebay. They tend to be pricy though.

This is the one I bought off ebay years ago and had hot tanked and reskinned. It is for my 74 LS4 to be put back together this summer.
They are still out there, you just have to keep looking for them.

Yes, they can be a little pricey for sure. Glad I bought mine when I did.

I always wondered about those two lines scratched down the middle of the intake. Now I see them on your so I guess it was in the mold or something.

And if anyone knew what I paid for mine Wouldn't even fill your fuel tank.
The guy didn't want it because it was used, old and wasn't for a holley.

I always wondered about that too, good theory on that.....
Can't remember exactly what I paid for mine, but it was a decent price, nowhere what you paid for yours..... Tom

BTW, what type of intake bolts did you use on yours, in post #23?

Nothing fancy just socket head cap screws powder coated a charcoal grey. Maybe not used everywhere but used where they could be

Pity the poor guy that tries to restore this thing someday But I do have boxes of original parts and fasteners. Some of which might even be right
