Yes, you can push on the mechanism under the headlight and close them manually. Sorry I don't have a pic showing the spot to push though. I have opened and closed a headlight by sucking on the vacuum hoses going to the actuators just for giggles, does that count as manual control?

Hi I73,
To close the headlight reach up from below and pull forward and down on the ROD that the 2 sets of springs clip to.
DON'T pull on the black SWITCH that's in that same area! It's very easy to break!
