Leaky fuel fitings
Hello everyone. It's been a while since I have been here.
My last post was about the new flair fittings on my '68 327 leaking gas at the carb, both ends of the filter and at the pump. I tried all of the suggestions posted and they still leaked. I went as far as using valve lapping compound on the mating surfaces. That actually helped.
The cure was to get the nuts as tight as I could and then let them rest without trying to start the car. I guess they just needed time to settle in.
