Default air cleaner

im putting an hei in my 72. stock manifold, with q- jet. will the stock air cleaner work without interfering with the distributer? I have a chance to get the snorkel style air cleaner complete from a friend of mine at a good price and before he ships it to me I thought id ask. thanks peter

Default Had an HEI

My '71 had an HEI put on by PO. He had dented in the back of the air cleaner for fit. It did not have ignition shielding in place. Had Lars rebuild my quadrajet and also original distributor...runs great. Hope this helps.

My 76 has a factory indention in the back of the air cleaner to clear the HEI.
