It appears that you have the original engine. The suffix CJL tells that you have a 270hp 350 with manual trans. Since the vin and the engine stamping coincide it is most likely the original engine. The only other possibility is a re-stamp which is not likely with the more common cars. Re-stamps are mostly found on NCRS restored or rare cars.
Corvette Black book lists suffix for 1971 "CJL:350ci,270hp,mt".Look for your
casting number and post it.It should be on bellhousing flange at the rear
of block.
