1971 lt1
In 71 the small block engines that used an aluminum radiator, (base, 4-speed, no a/c), had the aluminum expansion tank mounted on the passenger's side apron with a radiator cap.
71 small block engines with automatic transmissions and/or air conditioning used a copper radiator with the radiator cap on it and no expansion tank.
71 LT-! engines used the copper radiator with radiator cap and no expansion tank.
In addition for 71 ZR-1, ZR-2, LS-6, and LS-5 without a/c, cars used the aluminum radiator and expansion tank with cap.
