I now have power to my interior mirror map light but I'm needing the light bulb holder to make this thing work. I see that I can buy the whole mirror assembly from various suppliers but only the bulb holder is needed. Any idea's where this might be obtained? It's a 1976. Thanks!
It has been do long since I have had to deal with this bulb...I can not remember how it gets caged. Post a photo...and NOT knowing basically where you live due to not filling out your Public Profile...I could suggest some LEDs that you can get from some auto stores and use the connector for that bulb and install an LED in place of the correct bulb....OR buy a new rear view.
DUB: it was a pleasure to meet you a couple of weeks back at your shop. I enjoyed the conversation.
The map light is a very touchy design. I agree with DUB that it would be better to use an LED. The general idea is the hot goes to one side of the bulb and when you slide the lens to the right the other side of the bulb is grounded.
I would post a WTB in parts and see what you can find.
