Default Front Spindle Issue

I'm putting some coil overs on and painting the suspension pieces. While disassembling the spindles I found mine to be blue. Do I need new ones? It's a 1968 by the way.

48 year old spindles. In 1969 the corvette received a larger diameter spindle, hence bigger bearings and different hub. 68 and older are classified small bearing cars.
Coilover install gives me the impression you are going to do some spirited driving. When in doubt you could have yours magnafluxed. If there is any bearing scoring, replace. Is the discoloration I see corrosion? T

I'd have them checked somewhere. The blue is from heat.

What are new spindles worth? Ive never bothered to price them anywhere.

EDIT: Corvette Central nor America had them listed for my '78. Odd.
Baer doesn't have a C3 listing either. Rotors yes, no spindles though.

Paragon Corvette Reproductions lists Used originals for the '68 as well as the '69 - '82. They also have this disclaimer in their catalog.

Due to limited quantities and varying conditions, the prices of used original parts are subject to constant change. Although we may have multiple pieces of the same part, the condition and price can vary for each one. For this reason we can not list generic pricing on our website. Please call us at (800) 882-4688 for specifics regarding used original products.

It won't cost anything to see what they sell them for. At least you'll have a starting point.

Good luck... GUSTO
