How To Remove Diff Carrier?
I have the diff out of my 77. I've got the yokes out, and the carrier bearing caps off, but the carrier doesn't want to drop out. Am I missing something, or is normal to have to pry on it?

The preload on the side bearings are what's holding it in. Put a box wrench on a ring gear bolt and turn the pinion. It'll pop right out. You'll need to look at the cut of the gear teeth to figure out what way to turn the pinion and which side to put the wrench on.
