All 72s alarm equipped?

We're all 1972 coupes alarm equipped? I assume if they were then they should all have a key switch on the rear.

Hi B,
Yes, the alarm system became standard for the 72 model year and yes again, the switch was in the center of the taillight panel.

Thanks, I suppose the car I am looking at has been hit in the rear. The switch is not present in the taillight panel

Hi B,
There are various reasons for a missing switch…. and a 'hit' is certainly one of them.
I guess the interesting thing to do would be to get a good look underneath to see if there are signs of a repair or even a replaced clip.
