We’re putting the finishing touches on a tool to help with ball joint removal. Have you ever had to remove a ball joint from your Corvette?
What problems did you run into?
I have never had any problem. I place a heavy hammer on one side of the material then smack it in the other side with a heavy hammer and the tapered stud will pop out with no damage to the boot. If space permits I use a two-jaw puller and push the tapered stud out. Then I coat the stud with Never-Seez before reassembly. Can you show us a picture of the tool you're making?
